Hello, I'm Ana
I’m a project manager, a parent, and an expat based in Lisbon, Portugal.
Several years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Moving to Portugal wasn’t in the long-range plan. As with many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more substantial.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complicated than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Built Atlas Copper Canvas
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance grounded in real life in Portugal.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Hands-on insights from living in Portugal
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site ISN'T:
- An official tourism authority resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- Just another generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Portugal continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep sharing what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Cheers,
Ana
